FABROT (Fabric made out of rotten fruit)

A lot of rotten fruit is thrown away during the sales days on the local market. But do you know you can do so much more with this waste? Such as making a fabric. FABROT is a brand which creates bags made from material of left over fruit and vegetables of the local market. It is branded in a surrealistic and colorful way, people won’t recognize it is sustainable.

For the first collection I used the food waste of Pineapple. Since the pineapple was a very luxurious product in history, this value has been redesigned in the bag. The image of the pineapple coming to express the sense of welcome, good cheer, human warmth and family affection. I designed this bag and used a new innovative fabric, with the purpose to welcome this bag in the fashion world. Let’s make the future of fashion a bit better with the recycling of food waste and less use of animal leather.
